We're all under stress right now! If you recall, we watched this video by Kelly Donigal, How to Make Stress Your Friend and she discussed the oxytocin hit we get from connecting with and serving other people.
Additionally, as, you saw in the video, Everyday Leadership, we all live in a social world where our actions have intended and unintended consequences. Let's focus on being a positive leader in the "social world" this week by doing something nice and changing someone's life for just a moment.
Directions:
1. Get out there and do something nice for someone else, and hopefully relieve some stress from your life too. The only caveat is that this has to be something you wouldn't normally do.
Ideas: make a card for someone and mail it to them, do a chore for someone in your household that you know they hate, find a program to volunteer for this Christmas, have a dance-off with someone you know is feeling down, write some really nice reviews for local businesses or services, volunteer to babysit a niece or nephew, etc, etc :-)
2. Come back here and fill out the quiz to both share your experience and reflect on how it made you feel.
